Our new Open Play, Mixed League format welcomes men and women of all skill levels! We’ve designed a new league structure that gets you to mix up your partners, meet the community, and organically find your perfect competitive level.

Here is how the Beta Season works:

  • Entry is only $5 for this Beta Season: 100% of the pot goes toward the End-of-Season medals and prizes for top players!

  • The "Crew" System: You sign up as an individual, and placed into a Crew. Every two weeks, you will be placed into a new 4-person Crew. You have one Wave (14 days) to play exactly 3 matches. You will partner with every person in your Crew exactly once. No cherry-picking, no super-teams.

  • Phase 1: "The Mixer": When you register, give us your general skill level just to help us build the first Crews. At the end of The Mixer (your first Wave), your actual match scores will automatically sort you into one of our three official divisions:

    • 🟦 Blue Division (Pro / Highly Advanced)

    • 🟧 Orange Division (Advanced / Intermediate+)

    • 🟨 Sand Division (Intermediate / Social)

  • Phase 2: The Ladder: For the rest of the season, you will play Waves within your official color division. Win your Crew, and you get promoted to the next color up. Finish at the bottom, and you move down.

  • The "Leapfrog" Rule: If you completely sweep your Crew with massive scores, the system will "leapfrog" you up multiple divisions instantly to make sure you are playing at the right level.

  • WhatsApp Community: You’ll need to use WhatsApp on your phone. Once you register, you will be added to the official BTL WhatsApp group in the BTL Community to easily meet your Crew and schedule your games on the sand.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Nope. It’s Open Play format. You sign up as an individual, and you will rotate partners every single match within your 4-person Crew.

  • Yep. It’s a Mixed League. Because the Crew system forces you to partner with everyone in your group of 4 once, it naturally balances the teams, making it incredibly social and mathematically fair for both men and women.

  • It is honor-based! After you finish a match on the sand, anyone from the Crew can pull out their phone, go to the BTL website, and click "Enter Score." Once submitted, the official Leaderboard updates instantly.

  • Because the league moves fast, unplayed matches result in an automatic 0-6 forfeit at the end of the 14-day Wave. Be sure to communicate with your Crew in the WhatsApp group early to lock in your play times!

  • Don't stress! Just take your best guess on the registration form. Phase 1 ("The Mixer") is designed to figure that out for you. The database will look at your actual scores after two weeks and automatically sort you into the perfect division for the rest of the season.
