Beach Tennis Love celebrates the joy of playing our beloved game both on and off the court. We make fun designs and sell beach tennis gear while being a helpful resource to the beach tennis culture and community in the Los Angeles area.

Born on the Sands of Venice.

Beach Tennis Love wasn't started in a boardroom or in a matcha session by finance/tech bros. It was started by passionate players right here on the sand—between the lifeguard towers and the beach boardwalk—where we’re always down for one more game.

We’re a team of players, fans, and obsessive gear nerds dedicated to one simple mission: Growing beach tennis in Southern California and beyond.

We're a Bit Nerdy About This Stuff.

So buying beach tennis gear in the US has been... weird. You’re usually stuck choosing between volleyball stuff on Amazon, sketchy drop-shippers or buying blind from a guy on Whatsapp in Brazil or Europe.

We’d like to fix that. At Beach Tennis Love, we don’t just play beach tennis; we sell paddles, gear, and apparel. And we dissect our gear. We geek out on carbon fiber weaves, balance distribution, and EVA foam density so you don’t have to.

Our Promise to You:

• Real Testing: If we sell it, we’ve likely played with it. Every paddle, ball, and grip in our shop has survived a session on the local Los Angeles courts.
• No Junk: If a paddle has a dead core or a frame that chips if you look at it wrong, you won’t find it here.
• Local Vibes: We are actual humans in Los Angeles. If you have a question about which paddle generates the best spin for a serve, you’re talking to a player, not a chatbot.

About Our Founder

Efrain Gomez likes to play beach tennis. He’s an avid player on the Santa Monica beach tennis courts, and a trusted resource for local beach tennis info and gear.

Efrain learned of beach tennis during the Venice Beach Games, played his first game, and quickly became addicted. His old love for ping pong was stirred by the smack-and-forth nature of beach tennis. He found himself often going to the empty Santa Monica courts, hitting and practicing his serves by himself.

Approximately 7 paddles and 17,987,000 games later, Efrain still plays for the love the game, and encourages everyone he meets on the sand to do the same.

BTL Trivia…

Beach Tennis Love began with a parody design in a local Whatsapp group — the Anti Beach Tennis Beach Tennis Club. The design and name refer to those of us who like a little subversive fun in our passion for the game.

We created the simple BTL ball logo as an ironic nod to our pure and simple love of beach tennis behind our sarcasm, addiction, and frustration. We like making graphic designs, so we made a few more ideas, and thought it’d be cool to put them all in one place. Then we added local beach tennis info and gear to make it more useful. You’re welcome :)

But we don't joke about gear.

While we started with a parody design, we’re obsessed with the actual sport. Beach Tennis Love is now a verified source for high-performance equipment. We test every paddle we sell here in Venice, ensuring you get gear that actually works for your game—whether you're a pro or just learned what a 'smash' is.
